Our History
The company was started by Joshua Burk, a professional who has a passion for marketing. His professional career started differently than most digital marketers. Instead of starting with managing campaigns, he started in sales and was able to learn and understand many different industries and business models. After working in sales for different Fortune 500 companies, he switched from selling digital marketing to planning, implementing, and building marketing for many different companies.
Through his professional journey, he was able to connect with many professionals who not only share his passion for helping market businesses online but enjoy being creative and bringing new ideas into the mix. Through this combined effort, they’ve been able to help many online businesses successfully market and advertise in both English and Spanish.

Owner
With over a decade of experience in marketing, Josh has helped hundreds of businesses improve and enhance their print and digital marketing. His experience, education from Bellevue University, and execution of numerous marketing plans for many different industries give Burning Ox Marketing and our clients, valuable insights into success. When not helping our clients, Josh volunteers for his church and spends as much time as possible with his wife and five daughters. In his “free” time, he loves to run half-marathons and visit national parks.
Emily Walker
Creative
Hailing from a small rural town, Emily has always had an eye for the beauty in everything. She launched her career after earning a fine arts degree from Utah State University. Her experience as a graphic designer, professional artist, and digital art creator, helps bring out the beauty in their business. Outside work, Emily loves spending every minute possible with her husband and kids, exploring nature, traveling, and volunteering as a youth mentor. She also has an unquenchable thirst for reading and audiobooks.
Sean Jackson

By day, Sean is a composer extraordinaire, crafting music for film, concert, and media while developing custom music tools to bring his creative visions to life. In his spare time, he transforms into a versatile business wizard, leveraging his expertise as a general manager, software support manager, and consultant. Fueled by a passion for disruptive innovation, Sean thrives on creative and forward-thinking problem-solving, whether it’s advising businesses, optimizing systems, or occasionally designing cutting-edge features for cloud-based enterprise software companies. Whatever the challenge, Sean has the knowledge and skill to tackle it head-on and redefine what’s possible.
